About Olivia
Hi, I’m Olivia. I came to Australia in Year 11 and completed my VCE before finishing my bachelor’s degree in Melbourne. I’m now based in Sydney for my master’s degree.
During university, I was the vice president of a Chinese debating club, where I organized and hosted over 40 debates and events. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain things clearly.
I’ve also worked as a language exchange volunteer, helping students improve their Chinese in a practical and relaxed way.
I’m patient, friendly, and easy to talk to. I understand both Chinese and Western learning styles, so I can explain things in a simple way while also helping you learn real Chinese used in daily life and culture.

I’ve been teaching Mandarin Chinese for around 3 years, working with both teenagers and adult learners. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I always adjust my lessons based on your level and what you actually want to achieve.
My classes are relaxed but structured. I focus a lot on real-life conversation, so you can actually use Chinese in daily situations, not just learn from textbooks. I’ll help you build confidence step by step, especially if you’re a beginner.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and include speaking, listening, and practical vocabulary. I’m patient and easy to talk to, and I explain things clearly in English, so you won’t feel lost.
If you want to improve your Chinese for travel, work, or just personal interest, I’m happy to help you get there.
