About Carol
Hello! My name is Carol and I was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. I studied Languages in college, where I also became a tutor. I fell in love with sharing my language and encouraging students to find their voice.
I just moved to DC to get my master's in education and I look forward to complementing my training with more tutoring sessions. A fun fact about me is that I was also a classically trained musician!

I encourage students to carve their own learning path with me helping along the way and I am adaptable to different styles of learning. I also like to incorporate bits of culture and history to get you excited about learning the contexts in which Spanish has been used.
I also encourage conversations to practice material learned and I like to incorporate different pieces of media to keep sessions interesting. I am very fond of writing and literature and can recommend books and help you with your Spanish writing.
I love problem solving in all of its forms and how no problem is the same. I really enjoy trial and error, but above all I like to find the most efficient solution to a problem.
I also love interacting with students and hearing about their language learning processes and experiences!
