About Santiago
Hola! I am a 20-year-old from Spain, now living in Dublin as I continue my studies and personal development. I've always been enthusiastic about teaching, and I honed this passion working as a tutor in summer camps with children from 8 to 13 years old. As a native Spanish speaker who is also fluent in English (C1 Level, Cambridge certified), I have the unique ability to bridge the gap between the two languages and help others learn Spanish in an effective and understandable way. My methodology is centered on a communicative and personalized approach. I firmly believe that a language is learned by using it, which is why from the very first class, I prioritize conversation and comprehension, always adapting to your personal goals (travel, work, certifications, etc.). The classes combine structured exercises with enjoyable activities, to make learning motivating and effective. I don't use the same plan for everyone. I design the lessons based on your specific goals, whether it's for travel, work, or starting from scratch. We will work on all linguistic skills in a balanced way (speaking centered in fluency and pronunciation, listening comprehension, reading, and writing) as in language learning, everything is connected. For example, improving your reading comprehension will directly enhance your speaking fluency. As part of the class I will incorporate up-to-date articles, videos and cultural resources from the Spanish-speaking world so the topics and exercises we work with are the ones you will face in real life. The standard duration of a lesson is 60 minutes. This is the ideal time to make real progress through the classes without being overwhelming, also I offer 90-minute lessons for more advanced students seeking faster progression or are preparing for an exam. My classes are open to a wide variety of students, from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced students (C1/C2) looking to perfect their fluency. Adults and professionals who need Spanish for their careers or for traveling, teenagers and university students who need academic support or exam preparation (DELE, IB, etc.) and children (from 6-7 years old), with fun, age-appropriate classes to start building a strong foundation. I am a native Spanish speaker, guaranteeing you an authentic immersion in the language and culture.
