About Maria
I am a native Spanish speaker with a strong passion for languages, communication and teaching. Spanish is my mother tongue and part of my daily life, which allows me to offer students an authentic and natural approach to the language. I have several years of experience teaching languages to students of very different ages and backgrounds, from young children to adults and seniors. Alongside teaching Spanish, I have also taught other languages, which has helped me develop a flexible, adaptable and student-centered teaching style. I have a background in performing arts and theater, and this strongly influences the way I teach languages. I place special emphasis on communication, expression and confidence, helping students use Spanish in a natural, dynamic and meaningful way. This approach is especially helpful for speaking skills, fluency and overcoming the fear of making mistakes. I enjoy teaching because I value the learning process and the confidence students gain when they are able to express themselves in a new language. My goal is to create a supportive, motivating and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable and make steady progress. I consider myself a responsible, organized and committed tutor. I take each lesson seriously and prepare them carefully to ensure that students feel supported and confident throughout their learning journey.

My teaching approach is practical, flexible and student-centred. As a native Spanish speaker, I focus on helping students feel confident using Spanish in real-life situations, not just understanding grammar rules. My lessons combine conversation, listening, reading and writing, always adapted to the student’s level, goals and learning pace.
I usually structure my classes around clear objectives, using authentic materials such as articles, videos, audio and everyday situations to make the language natural and useful. I pay special attention to speaking and comprehension, while also working on grammar and vocabulary in a clear, accessible way.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length if needed. I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners who want to improve fluency, accuracy and confidence.
I am a native Spanish speaker with several years of experience teaching Spanish to students aged from 5 to 70, both in one-to-one and personalised settings. My classes are ideal for learners who want to improve their Spanish for travel, work, personal interest or everyday communication.
I currently offer online lessons, with a flexible schedule, making it easy to learn Spanish from anywhere.
