About Tania
I am a 21 year old Univeristy student who moved to the UK 8 years ago from Spain.
With plans to study Medicine after my current degree, I bring a strong academic background and a passion for teaching Spanish to non-native speakers. I believe studying should be seen as an opportunity, not a burden, and I aim to make lessons enjoyable for both of us. I also love to travel and learn from other cultures, which enriches my approach to teaching and learning.
I took 13 GCSEs, achieving seven 9s, including in Spanish, French, and German. This background gives me valuable insight into what examiners look for in high-scoring responses.
For A-levels, I took Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, achieving A*, A, A, and B.

As a third year Neuroscience student with a passion for teaching my native language, I make my lessons dynamic and engaging, focusing on long-term memory techniques like spaced repetition and active recall to help students retain information effectively.
Having completed my GCSEs and A-levels not too long ago, I understand the pressures students face and can empathise with their learning journey.
My lessons typically last an hour, in line with research suggesting that the brain can only maintain full focus for about 45 minutes before momentum starts to drop.
I also bring two years of experience as a volunteer teaching assistant at a Spanish supplementary school, where I developed an interactive and supportive teaching style.
