  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I speak Arabic fluently because it is my mother tongue. Growing up in an Arabic-speaking environment allowed me to develop a deep connection with the language, not only as a means of communication but also as a rich cultural and literary heritage. Later, studying Arabic in depth strengthened my passion for teaching it to others.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

I would say Imam Al-Shafi‘i — one of the greatest scholars and poets in Arabic history. His eloquence, mastery of expression, and love for the Arabic language perfectly represent the beauty and depth of Arab culture.
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

Yes, I love the word "السلام" (peace). It reflects one of the most important values in Arabic and Islamic culture — spreading peace and kindness through words and actions. It’s a beautiful greeting that carries warmth and goodwill.
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Arabic connects me to a long, rich heritage — from classical poetry and literature to the Quran itself. Teaching it allows me to share that beauty and depth with learners from all over the world. For me, it’s not just a language; it’s a bridge between cultures and generations.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

The main difficulty for most learners is the grammar and pronunciation, especially the differences between classical Arabic (Fusha) and dialects. However, with consistent practice, clear explanations, and listening to native speakers, learners can make fast progress. I always focus on practical examples and interactive exercises to make learning easier and enjoyable.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

I remember when I was young, my teacher asked me to recite a poem in front of the class. I was nervous, but when I finished, the class applauded — and that moment made me realize the power of Arabic words and how they can touch hearts. It was the start of my passion for teaching and sharing this beautiful language.
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Travelling and meeting people from different Arab countries helped me understand the richness of Arabic dialects and expressions. It taught me that every region adds its own flavor to the language — and that diversity makes Arabic even more fascinating to teach.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

What makes me a Superprof is my patience, clarity, and love for teaching. I adapt my lessons to each student’s goals and learning style. My approach is interactive, friendly, and focused on real communication — because learning a language should be both effective and enjoyable.
