About Jacqueline
I taught Spanish at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in the elementary and middle school levels, including three years at Collingswood Spanish immersion school. Upon retirement, and referred by their teachers, I have tutored middle and high school students. Some that went on to college returned for tutoring.

I use a conversational approach to promote fluency in Spanish. My instructional methods encourage their interest and participation using repetition effectively. I also help students to vent their frustrations with language and gain confidence in their ability to master it. My objective is to provide each of my students with the opportunity to acquire oral proficiency in the language as well as to develop an understanding and appreciation for cultural differences, which will in turn, enhance their interaction with people of other cultures.

Details
I usually charge $50 an hour for in-person tutoring, but since the virus, I've been charging $25 for half an hour by webcam (Zoom). If class takes longer, say 15-20 minutes, I would not charge extra. I expect students to be prepared with material at hand, so as not to waste time. Students can send me material they are covering ahead of time by email, so that I can prepare.
