About Hugo

My name is Hugo, I am 25 years old and I am a professional dancer based in London. I have been working with kids (7 to 17 years old) since the age of 16 by being a coach in gymnastics, a monitor in summer camps, an assistant educator and a private tutor. I believe that there is no better way to learn a language than to risk speaking it. For me, teaching is a shared experience and has to be fun!

About the lesson

My approach for this class is mainly speaking based. Together, we will try to connect what has already been learnt theoretically to a real situation through a conversation. The typical length of a lesson would be about 1 hour. I have been tutoring since the age of 18 for different subjects such as English, Maths, German or French. I also have been working with kids since the age of 16 as I was a coach in Gymnastics and worked in different establishments welcoming kids whose parents were still working in between school hours. I also have been a counsellor/monitor for different summer camps. My lessons would be for anyone (kids, students to adults) who: – Wants to improve their speaking skills in French – Wants to prepare for a test or an exam – Needs support for school work NO AGE RESTRICTION

I had lessons with Hugo during my final year of university, and I can’t recommend him highly enough as a French tutor. He was incredibly supportive and helped me improve in all the areas I needed most, particularly French grammar and comprehension of written texts.

Hugo gave me the boost of confidence and practice that I needed and this year I passed all my French exams and graduated :)
