About Annie
I am a first year student at University of Cambridge studying Natural Sciences and want to support students in maths. During secondary school I was initially a maths ambassador for 2 years and assisted students with exam preparation and revision and created additional help sessions outside of lessons. After reaching Year 12 and 13 I became a maths and prefect and co-led two teams of sixth form students to run lunch support sessions bi-weekly for all year groups and organised interactive displays for open evenings. I privately tutored students for a year during the end of my A levels and gave individual sessions to help students at risk of failing their GCSEs, which all 6 passed the following year.

I base my classes on topics that individuals find challenging, and from there will begin helping them strengthen their skills in particular aspects of maths, whether it be working through past papers together, creating worksheets and finding different and more creative ways of explaining ideas. I have had a lot of experience with trying to engage students that have struggled with maths in the past and building their confidence in the subject. My approach is to be supportive, enthusiastic and patient, and individually tailoring the support I give to students. I am open to teaching students from any age up till GCSE.
