About Samuel
I am a 1st Class Honours graduate in Anthropology, granted by the University of Adelaide. I am working towards a master's degree in Linguistics. I lived overseas twice and learned both Norwegian and German, so I understand the difficulties of foreign language acquisition. I have English tutoring experience with two programs, one in Czechia and the other in Hungary, where my students were of extremely variant levels of English proficiency. Through these programs, I also completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. I am looking to build a portfolio of English Language instruction.

My teaching method is engaging yet laid back - and, most importantly; suited to you. If your level of English is quite low, I work with the mantra: "communication is key, perfection comes later", the goal being to get you writing and speaking as much as possible. If your level of English is higher, then I work more in-depth on fine-tuning grammar, the flow of speech and idiomatic phrasing to reach that native level. If you're a student struggling with reading materials or essays I can work through these challenges with you as well.

Samuel is one of smartest and hardest working tutors I’ve met and can really connect with his students to help them understand the subject that much more. He is a very genuine man with a great personality and has helped me understand social science in a way no other tutor has done for me before.
As a former colleague of Sam's, I can absolutely recommend him as a teacher. He is patient, entertaining and full of energy, so you will never get bored. The best way of learning is of course through having fun! His English is also an excellent level and he has the ability to explain things in a very technical way, whilst making it easy to understand.
