About Sarah
I have an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Texas at Austin.
Over the past couple of years since I have graduated, I have tutored numerous students through Book 1 and 2 of the Neuhaus Education Curriculum.
I am timely to scheduled sessions, like to establish deep relationship with the student and families I work with, and have a desire to see my students succeed. As a result of my services, I have an increase in both grades and confidence in my students.

• Tutor students for one hour 3-4 times each week with Houston-based
501 (c)(3) educational non-profit organization - Neuhaus Education Center - dedicated to promoting literacy success using Orton- Gillingham-based reading instruction.
• Traveled to student's home or school to conduct tutoring sessions.
• Designed comfortable tutoring environment conducive to learning.
• Developed & maintained individualized, skill-appropriate & engaging lesson plans & study methods to enhance academic performance which focus on fluency, listening and reading comprehension, composition, spelling, and phonology
• Formed deep relationships with parents through conferences, emails, texts & phone calls. Courses completed through Neuhaus Education Center: Basic Language Skills - Introduction, Basic Language Skills - Book 1A, Basic Language Skills - Book 1B, Developing Metacognitive Strategies Multisensory Grammar, Basic Language Skills - Advanced (Book 2)
NOTE: it is recommended we meet three times a week. Usually I like to schedule weekdays after school (between 3-6:30), during the day if the school allows me on campus, or on Saturdays morning/afternoon if need be.
