About Rhys
I hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Finance from The University of Adelaide. With three years of professional experience as a Mechanical & Hydraulic Design Engineer and Design Manager, I bring practical knowledge and expertise to my tutoring sessions.
Having excelled in Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics, Physics, and English during Year 12, I am well-equipped to help high school students (up to Year 12) achieve their academic goals in Maths and Physics. My high level of achievement throughout my engineering degree provides confidence that I fundamentally understand the subjects including the progressive levels above them.
Additionally, I have a background in sports and leadership, which aid in communication styles required for working with a broad range of students.

I aim to ensure the course curriculum is understood and teach the student problem solving techniques that can be applied. This enables the student to have the confidence to solve a broad range of problems of increasing difficulties.
Over the course of a term, semester or year, I will also work with the student to set goals (specific tests and assignments and/or whole subject grades) and develop a roadmap to achieving them.
I have a first class honours degree in mechanical engineering, a bachelor's degree in finance and work professionally as a mechanical engineer and design manager. These qualifications give me the skills and confidence to assist the student in achieving their best.
