About Karl
Hi, my name is Karl Slade and from high school all the way to University, maths and science have been essential to my studies and have always been a big interest of mine.
Since first starting tutoring 2 years ago, I've found a passion in passing on knowledge to students who want to excel in their chosen subject.
My teachers for both chemistry and maths always knew how to make the subjects engaging and fun, so I hope to bring that feeling to my students and help them feel more comfortable and confident along the way.

The primary focus of my lessons is to establish positive study habits, active recollection of core concepts, useful test strategies and, most important of all, confidence to tackle any problem students may face.
To achieve this, we will comprehensively discuss theoretical concepts and complete a range of examples of differing difficulties in a comfortable learning environment where any question is welcomed.
I specialise in one-on-one maths and chemistry tutoring for students in years 7-12 (both Advanced and Extension 1 maths), with in person or online lessons available and typically ranging from 1-1.5 hours, varying depending on each student’s needs.
After graduating from Newington College in 2020 with an ATAR of 94.20 and Academic Colours, I am now studying Advanced Science at the University of Sydney, so I can assure you an immersive experience in my teaching. Hope to see you soon!
