About Alex
I started acting when I was 5 and have been in 2-3 shows per year since then. The theater where I spent most of my time is heavily focused on feedback and encourages the actors to act as creative directors in their own right. Because of this I believe I have learned how to formulate feedback in the best way to help an actor grow. I have directing experience as well, and have tutored various other subjects, as well as having acted as a monologue coach on a handful of occasions. I have a deep knowledge and love of Shakespeare, but I am confident in my ability to coach contemporary acting or any other form as well.

I believe that kind and helpful feedback is the best basis for growth in the theater, and my teaching reflects this. Most lessons will start with an overview of whatever piece the student has brought, as well as a performance. After that it will simply be a process of working the piece and adding what is needed to improve it. I have been a performing actor for many years and have also directed a handful of shows, and therefore I hope that my knowledge and the clarity of my feedback are what sets me apart from other tutors. I hope that my lessons could offer something to anyone, though most likely a beginner or intermediate actor would gain the most from my tutoring.
