About Anna
Besides being passionate about teaching English and helping students become confident and effective communicators, I have several years of experience under my belt that make me well equipped to address a variety of troubles.
During my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Windsor, I worked as a tutor in Academic Writing Support as well as a Teaching Assistant in various English Literature classes.
Furthermore, I completed a Bachelor's in Education, focusing on teaching English and French in high school. As a result, I have several months of experience teaching Ontario curriculum English to students from grade 9 to 12, including ESL students.
I am able to provide proof of certification and VSS checks by request.

My lessons are student-centred, catered specifically towards individual needs. As a result, lesson structure and content can be flexible, and are highly receptive to feedback.
For younger students, I evaluate their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and use the information I acquire alongside any additional info (teacher comments, former school assessments) to create personalized lessons addressing specific struggles.
For older students (late high school, university), rather than supplementary lessons aimed at addressing particular skills, they may benefit more from homework help, essay feedback/guidance, and the like. These sessions are the most flexible, and will be discussed and agreed on as per student needs. Supplementary lessons also available.
