About Flynn
As a dedicated musician and experienced tutor, I create a supportive, structured, and inspiring learning environment for every student. My approach is patient, clear, and tailored to each child’s pace, helping them build confidence while developing strong musical foundations. I focus on making lessons enjoyable and accessible, using practical, easy-to-understand techniques that encourage creativity and steady progress. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Creative Music Technology, have completed session work at Real World Studios, and have created music for major fashion campaigns, including London Fashion Week. I also perform professionally as the bass player in Luna Lake, an indie/soul band with millions of Spotify streams. These experiences allow me to bring real-world musical insight into every lesson. Lessons are available for children aged 6–16, from complete beginners to intermediate players, on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, or bass. Sessions typically run for 30–60 minutes, depending on age and focus level. I take great care in planning lessons that are clear, engaging, and professionally delivered. My goal is to help each student feel confident, motivated, and excited about their musical journey.

My Approach to Tutoring I focus on building confidence, creativity, and solid musical foundations. I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, experience, and learning style, using simple, practical techniques that make learning guitar or bass enjoyable and engaging. I break down skills into manageable steps, mixing technique, rhythm, and real songs to keep lessons fun and motivating. Teaching Methodology I combine demonstration, repetition, and guided practice. Students learn through playing, not just theory, and I introduce new skills gradually so they feel supported at every stage. For those who want it, I also include basic songwriting and simple music production to help them explore their creativity. Lesson Length A typical lesson is 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and focus level. Qualifications & Experience I hold a First Class Honours degree in Creative Music Technology, have done session work at Real World Studios, created music for fashion campaigns including London Fashion Week, and play bass in Luna Lake, an indie/soul band with millions of streams.
