About LUCA
I am a biomedical PhD researcher at the University of Oulu, working in the field of nutrition, cardiometabolic health, physical activity, and data-driven precision nutrition. I have a background in Biomedical Sciences and Nutrition & Metabolism, and I regularly work with research data, R, SPSS, Python, statistics, and scientific writing.
I like helping students because I know how frustrating thesis data analysis can feel when the code does not work, the output is unclear, or the statistical plan feels overwhelming. My goal is to make the process more understandable and practical.
I mainly support students in biomedical sciences, nutrition, health sciences, exercise science, and related fields. I can help with R scripts, SPSS output, data cleaning, descriptive tables, regression models, figures, and interpretation of results. My approach is clear, patient, and focused on helping students understand what they are doing.

I offer practical, mainly written support for students working on R, SPSS, statistics, and thesis data analysis. My approach is not based on traditional one-to-one lessons, but on helping you move forward with a specific problem: an R script that does not work, unclear statistical output, a table or figure that needs improvement, or uncertainty about which analysis to use.
You can send me your research question, dataset structure, code, or output, and I will provide clear feedback, improved code examples, and an explanation of the next steps. When useful, we can also do a short online check-in, but the main focus is practical written guidance.
This support is especially suitable for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students in biomedical sciences, nutrition, health sciences, exercise science, and related fields. I can help with data cleaning, descriptive statistics, regression models, SPSS output, R coding, ggplot figures, and interpretation of results.
