About Diego

Hi! I’m a 22-year-old college student from Cuba, currently living in New York City. As someone who’s experienced the challenges of learning a new language firsthand, I understand how important it is to have a supportive, engaging, and practical learning experience. My lessons focus on areas like pronunciation, listening skills, and everyday slang, helping you communicate naturally, while also covering reading and writing to ensure a deep understanding. Whether you're learning Spanish for school, work, travel, or personal growth, I’ll work with you to help your learning of the language be effective and tailored to your goals. Let’s get started!

About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on creating a personalized learning experience tailored to your goals and interests! My teaching method emphasizes interactive activities to build confidence in pronunciation, listening skills, and conversational fluency, including real-life slang. I also incorporate reading and writing practice to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the language.
Typical lessons will begin with a quick warm-up conversation or review of previous material. From there, we'll dive into focused practice, such as pronunciation exercises, listening to audio clips, or exploring vocabulary. I often include cultural insights, like idiomatic expressions or regional slang, to make lessons more interesting.
I personally understand the challenges of learning a new language, and I make it my priority to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
Look forward to meeting you and feel free to ask any questions!
