About Penelope
My academic background means I enjoy teaching the theoretical side of music alongside practical music making. I have experience teaching and leading in a range of settings, from one-to-one instrument lessons to group coaching to sectional conducting. I offer performance exam prep covering aural, sight-reading and accompanying. I am also available for proofreading and editing essays, UCAS applications and job applications. I am an enthusiastic, young tutor with experience working with people of all ages and abilities. I enter at the student's level and encourage rapid progression. I am personable and patient and use reflective practice to give students the tools to enable them to achieve their goals. Currently based in north east Melbourne, I travel to students' homes within 5km of Northcote. Please enquire for further info. First/trial lesson half price.
