About Jasper
In previous years, I have tutored students for GCSE English as well as ESL students in reading comprehension, so have a strong history as an educator, taking students from failing to strong passing grades as well as supporting high achieving students in reaching their full potential. Having achieved a 9 at both GCSE English Language and Literature and an A* in all A Level English Literature examinations thus far, I have a clear knowledge of the course and understanding of student experience. Moreover, my recent offer from Oxford to study English Language and Literature demonstrates my skills within the subject. Also, as an author myself, I am especially prepared to support students in the creative writing elements of the English Language GCSE.

Half an hour to an hour sessions depending on preference, with availability both after school and during weekends. Tutoring suitable for GCSE students of English Literature and Language of any skill level (the course I studied was AQA) and for any A Level students of English Literature (studying the AQA course). As a tutor who had recently studied A-Level and GCSE courses, I know precisely what the examiners are looking for. Sessions with me will not only involve looking over example answers and working through questions and extracts together, with my insights from personal experience and examiners' reports, but also editing and amending your work alongside you to give you the understanding of what techniques to develop for you personally to improve your grade and improve your essay skills, something that will be relevant to any studies in humanities and beyond.

Jasper is tutoring me for English this year and they’ve been very helpful- especially on Macbeth which we’ve been focused on recently, working on themes in response to feedback I received from my teacher. They build on the content I’ve learnt in class and are able to adapt what we work on depending on what I’m struggling with but also provide really creative and unique insights into the texts!!
Jasper is an amazing tutor. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable he also explains lesson content clearly. He also will be attending Oxford in the Fall. Jasper also seeks to improve his knowledge outside of school and is extremely skilled in English literature and comprehension.
