About Katia
I have experience teaching and tutoring a range of subjects, including maths, English, history, Spanish and politics. I’ve worked with learners aged 5 to 18, helping them improve their grades and feel more confident in the classroom. I also speak Spanish and hold a TEFL qualification, which helps me support Spanish-speaking students and students for whom English isn’t their first language.

My approach: I use a student-centred approach, helping learners build strong foundations and then work up to more complex topics at their own pace. I break down tricky concepts with real-world examples and interactive activities to make them easier to understand. For students struggling with confidence, I focus on encouragement and celebrating small wins to keep them motivated. Lesson structure: Lessons typically last 1 hour, but I can adapt this depending on the student’s age and concentration levels. I always start by reviewing any homework or previous material, introduce new concepts gradually, and finish with a recap or short quiz to consolidate learning. Who are my lessons for? My lessons are ideal for students aged 5 to 18 who want to improve their maths, catch up at school, prepare for exams, or simply gain more confidence with numbers. I welcome all abilities and always adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s goals and learning style.
