About Joshua
For me, the humanities are essential to daily life because they are the study of human culture and experience. To understand the world, we must also love the humanities. That is what drives me to teach every level of ability in politics, history and geography. I am easy to talk to, great at communicating difficult ideas and concepts and deeply knowledgeable in these subject fields, so I will help you achieve your goals without fail, while we navigate our way through your work.

Raised in both urban and rural communities, I am able to work confidently with students of all ages and backgrounds up to university level. I offer tutoring across a range of subjects, with a particular specialism in Politics. I have delivered tutoring and educational support in both the UK and Uganda, working with learners from diverse social and cultural contexts. An example of this is helping a student pass his English Literature GCSE comfortably, when beforehand, he could barely formulate sentences. Alongside my academic experience, I have worked with political organisations including Make Votes Matter, giving me practical insight into contemporary political systems, democratic reform, and political engagement. I am a passionate and supportive tutor who builds strong rapport quickly, adapting teaching methods to maximise student understanding, confidence, and academic outcomes.
