About Christian
I am a university student currently studying Geography BA at Durham. I studied Maths, Geography and Economics and received A*, A*, A respectively. I am self-motivated and have used this free time to refresh my French and Spanish skills. I will be more than happy to teach any subject up to GCSE standard.
I have had experience teaching and working with younger pupils. I worked as a teaching assistant/sports coach at a primary school. I enthusiastic yet patient and believe I am good at explaining things clearly and simply. I was Head boy at my School, which I think has given me the confidence to be an efficient, engaging and confidence tutor.

My lessons will be fun and active. I am good at making clear revision notes which I will ensure is a skill you develop.
I can make presentations and will set you projects and tasks to complete before our next meetings.
People remember 90% of what they do and 70% of what they say and write. So I will make the lesson target this. So the student will be able to remember and understand as much as possible. The lessons will be very active and I want the student to be the one that leads the lesson as this is the best way of learning.
I hope to be able to have a few lessons and then the students will have the power to teach themselves and will only have to refer to me for advice.
I will try to make the lessons short and sharp. Since our concentration period is often less than an hour. If lessons are longer than this, I will ensure we have short breaks to make sure that the lesson is still effective.

Christian has always been a very keen learner but also a very keen teacher for his peers who are perhaps struggling with certain areas. He is also very kind and understanding and is great with those younger than him. The prime example of this being that he was head of school, a position he earned by being incredibly kind to everyone and always willing to help. These traits would stand him in very good stead for being a tutor.
