About Kaihao Luis
I’m a first-year Mathematics student at UCL, originally from Spain. I’ve taught at a Spanish Mathematics summer camp and earned a Bronze Medal in the Spanish Mathematical Olympiad, experiences that taught me how students think and how to explain ideas clearly and simply. What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student grow. Watching someone who was once unsure suddenly understand a topic or solve a problem they used to avoid, genuinely makes my day. I put real care into each lesson because their progress feels meaningful to me, and I want every student to feel confident, supported, and capable in Maths.

My lessons are built around one idea: students learn fastest when someone understands how they think, not just what the syllabus says. I taught at a national Spanish Maths camp, working with students of all levels, which trained me to recognise where learners typically get stuck and how to guide them through those moments with clarity and confidence. Each one-hour lesson is focused, structured, and tailored. I break concepts into simple, intuitive steps and help students develop problem-solving habits they can rely on in exams and independent study. Many students I’ve worked with improve quickly because they finally understand why the methods work, not just how to apply them. As a UCL Mathematics undergraduate and Spanish Mathematical Olympiad bronze medallist, I bring both strong academic skill and practical teaching experience. My approach suits students under 18 who want to build solid foundations, raise their grades, and feel genuinely confident tackling Maths on their own.
