About Paul

Paul Nam is the owner of the fitness studio, TheWorkoutLoft, in Toronto and has been in the fitness industry for over 24 years. He started bodybuilding at the age of 18 and became the Junior Mackenzie Bodybuilding Champion at 19. Paul has since then competed in over 25 bodybuilding, fitness, and martial arts competitions. He has trained in Olympic style boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay thai, wrestling, and holds a black belt in tae kwon do.

Paul's studio won gold medal for "Best Gym & Fitness Studio 2013" and was voted " Best Multi-Disciplined Fitness Studio in 2019 Toronto." He was also featured as one Canada's Top Trainers in 2021, 2022, 2025, and 2026.

Paul's work has been featured on broadcast media across Canada, The United States, and Europe. He has been on the cover of GQ Canada and Los Angeles Feature magazine.

Paul has developed his own system of training and dieting. He teaches all his clients how to isolate each muscle properly. His training is focused on functional basic movements that are used in everyday life.

The session can be 30 minutes to 55 minutes in length. Paul focuses on training the entire body for balance, strength, mobility, and coordination. This can be done through weight training, stretching, and body weight movements.

Paul’s nutritional approach is to eat a balanced natural diet of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. His philosophy is to keep the training and nutrition as simple as possible. This teaches his clients how to get the best results in the most efficient manner.
