About Lindsey
I hold a CELTA and Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I have also taught overseas for 4 years, so I am well qualified and experienced in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I know what it is like to struggle learning a new language, so I want you to feel comfortable in lessons. It's okay to feel shy or to make mistakes: we learn by getting things wrong sometimes. I want to encourage you and build your confidence in speaking English.

I am offering one-hour lessons via Zoom, Skype or Teams (Zoom preferred) for adults of any level - beginner, intermediate or advanced.
The first lesson will focus on your current ability, your goals and how I can help you. Your next lessons will be planned around your goal. For example:
- If you study English for academia, lessons may involve vocabulary study, listening and reading practice, or discussing your subject.
- If you study English for daily life, lessons may involve speaking practice, phonics, and role-playing situations like grocery shopping, small-talk with neighbours or making reservations.
- If you study English for business, lessons may involve listening and speaking practice, discussing business-related topics, and role-playing situations like sales pitches or meetings with colleagues.
