About Sasmit
Hi, I'm Sasmit! I'm currently pursuing my actuarial studies, a field built entirely on strong mathematical and analytical thinking, and I bring that same rigor and clarity into how I teach. I know firsthand how confusing math can feel when concepts aren't explained in the right way and how much of a difference it makes when someone takes the time to break things down patiently and clearly.
I take tutoring seriously and treat every session with the same discipline I apply to my own studies. My goal isn't just to help you get through homework or exams, but to genuinely build your confidence in math so it stops feeling like a struggle. I'm reliable, punctual, and easy to reach for doubts between sessions because consistency matters just as much as the teaching itself.

Math has always been about building things step by step for me, and that's exactly how I teach it. I don't believe in memorizing formulas without understanding where they come from. I focus on breaking down each concept into simple, logical steps so it actually makes sense, not just something to cram before an exam.
My teaching techniques: I use a lot of visual explanations and step-by-step problem solving through screen-sharing, so students can see exactly how a solution builds up rather than just hearing the final answer. I encourage students to attempt problems themselves first, then guide them through corrections rather than simply handing over answers. This builds real problem-solving confidence over time.
Structure of a class: Each session usually starts with a quick recap of the previous topic or homework doubts, followed by teaching the new concept with examples, and ending with practice problems solved together. If a student has specific doubts going in, I adjust the session to prioritize those first.
What makes my teaching different: I have a strong personal foundation in mathematics and analytical thinking from my own academic background, which I use to explain even tricky concepts in a simple, relatable way. I focus heavily on patience no question is "too basic" and on making sure a concept is genuinely understood before moving to the next one, rather than rushing through a syllabus.
Who my classes are for: I currently teach school-level students (middle and high school), covering topics like algebra, geometry, and foundational calculus. I'm equally comfortable helping students who are confident but want to sharpen their skills, and those who are struggling and need concepts explained slowly and clearly from scratch.
