About Ryan
I have taught elementary math and pre-algebra for 20 years in private tutoring and also long-term substitute teaching in the inner city of Los Angeles. I have seen dramatic improvements in the understanding and the grades of my students. One student was flunking 6th grade math when his grandmother came to me, but when I was done tutoring him for a few months, he scored so high on state tests that they placed him in honors mathematics when he transitioned into 7th grade.

I am a math tutor who teaches anyone who needs help in elementary math and pre-algebra. I adapt to the learning style of the student and teach based on what concepts the student is struggling with. After sufficient explanation and modeling the technique to solve any given problem, I test the student's ability by giving them a problem either I created OR direct them to a similar problem in their homework from school. I help students minimize test prep time.
