About Joel
Hey, I am Joel a 18 year old pianist, violinist and composer who studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I currently study with concert pianist Sasa Gerzelj Donaldson and have well over 10 years of experience from an accolade of international competitions which I’ve competed in and won. I also compose and have performed my own compositions in the Queens Hall etc. Improvisation is one of my big passions which I’ve took to the stage and made many a video on my YouTube channel. I also love performing in chamber groups and orchestras where I work closely with other musicians. Along side performing I also teach piano and have a successful student who entered the Edinburgh Competition Festival last year with his own arrangement of a piece.
My passion for guiding people’s progress under fun yet quality teaching makes me the right teacher for you!

Joel teaches everyone, from kids who are just starting out, to high school kids and adults at any beginning/ moderate stage.
He will help you set targets, develop a good foundation and ultimately guide you to whatever goals you have, whether that’s just being able to play timeless classics or becoming more advanced.
If you are interested in improvisation and composition Joel has tons of experience in those areas and would be happy to give advice and guidance on those topics.
Taking you from simple improvisation to being able to play anything on the spot, wowing your friends and colleagues.
If you are in the school system he can also help you pass piano exams (e.g. ABRSM UK) from grade 1 to grade 8, and can also guide you for competitions etc.
Providing the upmost quality but always keeping it fun and engaging in lessons Joel is the right teacher for you!
