About Yumeki
I am Yumeki Ohashi, an international concert pianist and piano teacher based in Paris, France.
I left Tokyo for Europe in 1983 to pursue my musical studies in Prague with Peter Toperczer, and continued my artistic development through masterclasses and international musical experiences across Europe.
My career as a concert pianist has taken me to Europe, North America and Asia, both in recital and through international artistic projects. I have also received distinctions at international competitions and festivals.
Today, I bring this experience as a performing artist directly into my teaching. My approach goes beyond technique: I help each student develop sound, musical understanding, interpretation and an individual relationship with the piano.
I teach students from beginners taking their first steps at the piano to advanced pianists seeking deeper artistic development.

My piano lessons are entirely personalized to each student’s level, goals, musical personality and pace. I welcome complete beginners, young pianists, returning students, intermediate players and advanced pianists wishing to deepen their interpretation.
Lessons may include technique, reading, posture, sound production, repertoire, musical understanding and interpretation, with particular attention to the classical repertoire.
Online teaching is not simply a video call. From my dedicated teaching studio in Paris, France, I use professional audio and a multi-camera setup, including close views of the keyboard and hands, allowing me to observe, demonstrate and correct with precision.
Depending on your goals, lessons can be organized as regular individual sessions or as more intensive coaching with frequent contact throughout the week.
My aim is not to impose a standardized method, but to build a musical path around each student — from the first notes at the piano to advanced artistic development.
