About Elena
I am a university student currently enrolled in two degree programs, one of which is taught entirely in English, giving me daily experience with academic English and critical thinking. I achieved a 1500 score on the SAT, having self-studied from 1230 to 1500, which gives me a deep understanding of how to improve through focused practice and strategic learning. I bring not only knowledge of the test content but also insight into effective study methods. My approach is student-centered: I focus on strengthening weak areas while continuing to develop strong ones, ensuring balanced progress. I use the Socratic method, guiding students to think critically, solve problems independently, and gain confidence in their abilities. As a student myself, I am patient, empathetic, and adaptable. I understand the pressures of exams and the importance of personalized guidance. A lesson with me is structured, interactive, and fully tailored to the student’s needs. I use the Socratic method, asking questions that guide students to think critically and arrive at answers themselves, rather than simply giving them solutions. This approach helps students develop deeper understanding, independent problem-solving skills, and confidence in tackling difficult questions.
I focus on strengthening weak areas to ensure gaps in understanding are fully addressed, while also building on strong points so students continue to progress without falling behind. Every session is designed to be engaging, challenging, and supportive, combining strategy, practice, and reflection. My goal is to help students not just improve their SAT scores, but also cultivate skills and habits that will serve them in all areas of academic life.
All lessons are conducted online, with flexibility in pacing, exercises, and focus areas depending on the student’s individual goals and current level.
