About Sam
Hi there, I'm Sam. I'm a singing teacher and vocal coach who specialises in teaching across contemporary vocal genres. With a degree in Performance from Southampton Solent University, I have over 10 years experience of performing and studying voice. I'm particularly passionate about Musical Theatre, and helping students develop safe and reliable vocal technique, as well as building confidence in their voice, and helping them create genuine, authentic performances by connecting to their lyric and material with acting through song. I can help you to extend your range, strengthen your voice, develop your mix, learn to belt, or just feel more confident with your voice so you can have fun with your friends at the next Karaoke night!

I'm a firm believer that anyone, of any age or experience level can sing, and that regardless of their goals, anyone can experience the joy that singing can bring. I tailor my lessons to each student and aim to create a safe, fun environment for you to explore your voice and get the most out of each session. Whether you want to work on technique, prep for a specific performance or just be more confident belting out your favourite songs in the shower, I'd love to hear from you. I think there is something in singing lessons for anyone. My lessons are focused on you and your goals, at the pace you want to achieve them. A typical lesson will involve things like: - A check in, how are you and your voice feeling that day? What are you hoping to work on for the session? - A warm up, to wake the voice up and get things moving - Technical/developmental exercises (as needed) - Application to song - A wrap up/cool down and time to answer questions etc I'll also offer practice tips and suggestions, so that you can keep working on your voice between our lessons.
All lessons will be conducted online using video conferencing software.
