About Emilie
I am autistic and have such a love for learning. I have always been fascinated by the world around me and through science and maths, I have been able to understand more and more of it.
Helping other people has always been a goal of mine, and I hope that I may offer some of the experience I've gathered as a neurodivergent student to help others as the school environment can be unwelcoming to those with different needs.
I also strongly support the engagement of students with their subject of interest beyond the curriculum, known as supercurricular exploration, as I did in Year 12, having won the St John's poster competition and Caius Explore essay competition. I am a strong proponent of the fact that school is simply the place for guided learning, for building a basic foundational understanding of the world, and individuals can explore their own unique interests using the vast amount of information we have readily available to us on the internet and in books.

Offer 1 hour lessons led by the needs of the student. This could involve going over content from the specification, allowing the student to engage with subject content critically to reach a more complete understanding or discussing optimum study techniques and working together with the student to create an efficient study routine.
I have tutored Year 11 students Geography and Maths for GCSE.
My aim is to guide students to deeply engage with their subject material, to be curious and primarily to learn how to enjoy studying whilst achieving highly. After all, humans as a species are innately driven to learn and we should embrace this innate curiosity and channel it into studying!
