About Sarmigax
I enjoy working with students and watching them prosper in topics that they found difficult, especially when a certain concept that they may have struggled with initially finally makes sense to them. Furthermore, I believe that this would also benefit me as I would be able to learn things from students as well. This position is an exceptional opportunity as I am also interested in tutoring as a career, and this could provide the experience I may need when working with students with different abilities in the future. My strong communication skills will be beneficial when conveying tough information which I believe are essential skills a tutor must have. My passion for teaching will help students feel motivated and engaged with the material, and my patience allows them to comfortably learn at their own pace. As a fellow student, I understand the difficulty of learning new ideas which is why I am willing to explain concepts to a student as many times as they need me to. This will help create a safe and friendly environment, so the students are not afraid to ask any questions and if they feel the need to ask me questions outside of the lesson, I am willing to put my time aside to help.

I teach students up to GCSE level for Chemistry and Maths. The duration of the lesson is 1hr, but on most occasions, I do go over time if the student requires extra help. I teach via zoom, and do recap tests at the beginning of the lesson, to ensure the student is always recapping their previous knowledge. Moreover, for maths,I go over exam questions as that is essential as content is tested through exam questions, and with recent experience, I am able to give exam tips to ensure the student is able excel in all topics. I am patient so I let the student comfortably learn at their own pace, at the same time having a strict schedule to follow to ensure all content is completed.
