• Developing an Interest

  I developed an interest in my chosen field of management, accounting, and finance from an early age. I began teaching during my school days and continued to do so as I progressed through my education. My official teaching career started when I got an opportunity to teach at a college in London. Upon returning to India, I helped my father-in-law with his students, which enlightened me to understand that my true path is teaching.

• Subject and Topics

  I specialize in management, management accounting, financial management, and finance and accounts-related subjects. I enjoy discussing a wide range of topics with my students, from strategic management and cost accounting to corporate finance and financial reporting. I particularly enjoy topics that involve problem-solving and strategic decision-making, as they encourage critical thinking and practical application. On the other hand, while necessary, topics like extensive regulatory frameworks can be less engaging but are essential for a comprehensive understanding.

• Role Models and Inspiration

  My journey as a teacher has been significantly influenced by my uncle and aunt (my father's brother and sister), who guided me on how to become an excellent teacher. Their support and blessings have been invaluable. My paternal grandmother's cousin sister, who was also a teacher, taught me about the ethics of teaching and the profound impact a teacher can have on a student's life. Of course, my first teacher is God, and the wisdom given from above. With the grace of God, I have been blessed with many good teachers who have shaped me into who I am today.

• Qualities of a Good Tutor

  A good tutor needs patience, empathy, and adaptability. Patience is crucial for allowing students to learn at their own pace. Empathy helps in understanding the students' struggles and providing the necessary support. Adaptability is important to tailor teaching methods to each student's unique learning style. Additionally, a passion for the subject and the ability to communicate concepts clearly are essential.

  One memorable experience was helping a student who initially struggled with the complexities of financial management. We started with basic concepts and gradually built up to more complex topics. His confidence grew as he began to understand and apply what he learned. Witnessing his transformation from confusion to clarity was incredibly rewarding and reinforced my belief in the power of personalized teaching.

  One of the challenges I've faced is keeping students motivated, especially when they encounter difficult material or feel overwhelmed. Balancing encouragement with pushing them to overcome challenges requires a delicate touch.
