About Sam
I’m a passionate and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students build both their confidence and their understanding of a subject. I am currently in my third year at University of Leeds studying International History and Politics. I have experience working as both a tutor and a teaching assistant, which has given me the opportunity to support students with a range of abilities and learning styles. Seeing students overcome challenges and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
While I enjoyed studying English at school, I completely understand that not every student will naturally share the same enthusiasm. For those who are primarily focused on achieving the grades they need, I aim to make the subject engaging, accessible, and relevant while helping them build the knowledge and skills needed to reach their goals.
My passion for teaching comes from my own experience as a student. The teachers who had the greatest impact on me made lessons engaging, encouraging, and personal, helping me to develop a genuine love of learning. Their support inspired me to want to provide the same experience for others. I believe every student can succeed when they are taught in a way that suits them. Whether you’re looking to improve your confidence, achieve higher grades, or prepare for important exams, I’m committed to helping you reach your full potential.

Focused on delivering the most effective methods for academic progression, understanding, and revision all while maintaining enjoyment, engagement, and enthusiasm.
I offer tuition for students in Maths up to GCSE level. Lessons would typically be 1 hour online, but I am flexible depending on each child’s desires.
The reason I studied Maths at A Level was due to the engaging and personal teaching I received which captivated my young self. As a tutor and teacher, I always aim to replicate what I learnt from my teachers, by creating interactive, supportive, and tailored lessons for each pupil, whether they are aiming to boost their confidence, improve their grades, or prepare for exams.
