As a Professor of Chemistry, I have taught Organic Chemistry Lectures and Labs, General Chemistry Lectures and Labs, and Introduction to Chemistry for over 14 years. I am an educator and chemist who is passionate in teaching students the knowledge and skills that will prepare them for academic success. I have structured my lectures to encourage active learning that provides guidance and, even more importantly, invites experimentation and participation. I tailor my classes to cater to the needs of my students.
I guide learning by helping students individually or as part of a larger group. In addition to in-class participation and discussion, I give online access to lectures, power point presentations, and other learning aids. To encourage success in my classes and to support student learning, I hold extended office hours and offer weekly help sessions. These are a few examples of my commitment and involvement in the lives of my students both inside and outside the classroom.
