About Mariko
I was born in Hiroshima, grew up in Tokyo, Japan. I studied law and political science in Keio University. Also studied abroad UCLA to study film making. I have been tutoring professionally in Tokyo. Students varied from International school students to adults who came to Japan to study Japanese.

I make individual study plans for each student. My goal is not just to level up your Japanese but also to introduce the cultural text through language :) My class is normally 45-60 minutes per one class. Ideally twice a week (writing-reading / listening-speaking)

Perfect! This teacher is excellent and in fact she's the best teacher I've found for learning Japanese anywhere in the whole world. I'm looking forward to starting lessons with her!
Perfect! Mariko is a wonderful teacher! She's cheerful and energetic. As a native Japanese, she speaks English very well which helps my learning a lot as she can explain clearly the Japanese grammar. I enjoy learning with her a lot!
Perfect! I'm glad that I had the opportunity of meeting Mariko sensei - she's fun, artistic, and approaches teaching with a candour that puts me at ease. Each lesson left me yearning for more - the language itself, the culture, the people... This, I suppose, is a good thing :)
