About Timothy
As a teaching assistant, I spent many hours for over 2 years, holding office hours and leading presentations to answer student questions and address questions about the basics of organic chemistry.
Throughout my undergraduate career at UVA, I worked as a tutor for science and math. I am professional and treat all students with respect as well as mindfulness and patience.

My goal is to convey key information while providing new insights to ignite additional discussion. I have a solid foundation to be able to help you navigate and approach rigorous concepts while finding ways to apply them in a practical, thought-provoking manner. I am patient with all students of all learning styles and backgrounds, first languages, or life experiences.
With that said, my lesson plan involves a challenge from the start so we know what to look for. Then we prime our brain with some easier questions that cover the basics of the subject/topic at hand, knowing how difficult things can get. Once we have spent some time nailing the basics, we then move on to the challenging questions, again, with our re-enforced mind already prepared.
I can teach and tutor these topics:
elementary - high school Math (stopping at calculus AB / calculus I)
middle school - university level Chemistry (stopping at organic chemistry III / inorganic synthesis)
middle school - university level Biology (stopping at biochemistry / human anatomy & physiology)
elementary - university level English
