As a social studies tutor, I will provide supplemental assistance to students who struggle with social studies and/or who want to improve their ability to perform better in social studies classes. Unlike your school’s teacher, I do not to teach using a generic lesson plan, instead, my approach is student centered to address the needs of the individual child. I help by teaching students strategies to reach goals, improve their study habits and grasp key concepts with which they are having difficulty.
As your tutor, I can assist you in subjects such as history, geography, politics, economics, and culture. I will typically integrate current events into my lessons while facilitating healthy engaging debates and a spirited discussions. We will do so while ensuring a culturally sensitive environment where everyone is respected.
