About Sevi
Hello,
I'm Sevi and I am a Master's student at the University of Cambridge.
I have a passion for teaching, especially English, Business and Geography since these subjects are of great interest to me. I want to help other students develop this interest and encourage them to pursue their specialities.
I have four years' worth of tutoring experience on a one-to-one basis and have previous experience with explaining complex concepts to individuals with no previous experience in the subject matter. I love helping students meet their targets and am dedicated to helping students of all background to meet and exceed their goals.
My personal teaching style is to understand the student's learning style, their objectives (including an examination they may be working towards) and to use engaging activities in classes to work towards their goals. No two activities are the same in classes - I believe variety goes a long way in maintaining student engagement!
Students should expect several things from my classes. Firstly, I incorporate diverse activities to maintain engagement. Secondly, students should be prepared for challenging activities, but the structure of classes will ensure that they are aware of the progress they make in each class. Lastly, it is important to me that students enjoy their subject, so I am always open to feedback on activites/ topic routes to develop bespoke activities which maximise the student's benefit.
