About Dan
Having done A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Geography, I started my undergraduate law course completely in the dark about how to write essays. By the time my final exams came about, I had developed a tactic for writing essays quickly, concisely and with great structure.
Using this method, I achieved a First-Class mark in seven of my nine papers at undergraduate level, and in all of my papers at master's level - and won the Faculty Prize for best performance in one of them!
My tutors trusted my writing skills, so employed me as a Research Assistant for proofreading and editing services for their publications. I then went on to be a Judicial Assistant for a judge in the Court of Appeal. I've just completed the Bar Course and will start the final stage of barrister training later this year!

My four years at Oxford University have led me to develop a bullet-proof, easily replicable method for writing essays and dissertations, which I want to share with you! This enabled me to achieve a First-Class undergraduate degree and a Distinction in my master's degree. I will share this method with you so you can write essays with perfect structure, content and tone.
An essay-writing session will typically include:
1 - Feedback on homework (15mins)
2 - Essay-writing exercises and learning techniques (25mins)
3 - Full-prose writing practice (15mins)
4 - Review and setting of homework (5mins)
An interview-style session will vary based on the types of interview we do; there are at least five types of interview question that I want students to be familiar with, and we will cover them all - and how to answer them best! These include:
1 - Generic law questions (e.g. why do you want to study law?)
2 - Critical thinking questions
3 - Source-based questions (the most important!)
4 - Case-reading questions (often the most daunting for students)
5 - Rule-making questions (a rarely tested question but helpful to know ahead of time)
