About Joshua
I have just graduated from studying Law with Spanish Law at St John’s College, University of Oxford with First Class Honours. I studied Maths, Spanish, Chemistry and History for A-Level, all subjects which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have a particular interest in tutoring Maths. I am friendly, approachable and have good communication skills – in particular I have some experience in tutoring Maths at high school. I make every effort with my students to invest time and patience into them – with a particular focus on developing their weaker areas whilst improving their existing strengths.

I prepare for my lessons by deciding on the material appropriate to the current level of the student in question. From there I make sure that I personally know the material well and then I decide on the structure in which to present it.
Most often this will generally take the form of two sections, one where I present the material in an interactive format, with the aim that the student comes to terms with it and gains a working understanding, then, the second section will often consist of testing that knowledge and understanding in order to ensure the student has fully grasped the material.
For example, with mathematics this will often mean that first I will present a new topic and then second the student and I will go through an exercise of exam-style questions.
