I am a humanities student at the University of Oxford who has been tutoring privately for several years in a wide range of subjects. I achieved 11A*s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-Level / Pre-U. There isn't really much use in talking about a 'teaching' methodology per se, because students learn in different ways. I think it is valuable to be able to adapt your teaching style to suit the requirements of a student and their particular field of study. Their goals are your goals.
