About Roxanne
I graduated from Oxford University with a 2:1 in Law, coming fourteenth in a year group of 160 students. I am currently in my third year of studying Medicine at the University of Leeds, after also receiving offers from UCL and the University of Brighton and Sussex.
After coming first in the 11+ examination, I attended Chelmsford County High School for Girls, achieving 12 A* grades and one A grade in my GCSE examinations. I then continued my Sixth-Form education at King Edward VI Grammar School, where I studied for my A-level examinations. In these, I achieved an A* grade in Biology and A grades in Maths, Chemistry, and French. I would be happy to do tutoring for the 11+ examination, or for Chemistry, Maths, Biology or French.
I have considerable experience in tutoring, taking on my first student seven years ago. Since then, I have tutored a number of students across a wide age range in various subjects. All of the students who I have tutored for the 11+ examination have achieved a place at their secondary school of choice. At school, I was a Maths Mentor for classmates studying for their GCSE examination, helping to explain mathematical concepts to students both of my age and younger. I also undertook the Foreign Language Leaders award in year 12, during which another student and I planned and delivered a French lesson to primary school children, who had never been taught French before. Outside of school, I have worked as a Camp Leader at a science-themed holiday camp (Mad Science), leading themed activity days.

I find it useful to mainly work through past paper questions with the student. From there, it is possible to identify concepts which the student finds difficult to understand, and to explain them individually. I tailor my tuition to the pupil, asking them for feedback as to which methods they find useful, and what areas they would like to work on.
