About Matilde
I am a recent Mathematics graduate from the University of Oxford. I am also an ex-participant in Mathematical Olympiads, having won several medals at national level, in Portugal, and even represented my country at the International Mathematical Olympiad. I have four years of tutoring experience, ranging from younger students looking to develop their skills to GCSE and A-level preparation. In particular I have tutored 15+ students taking the MAT (Maths Aptitude Test) for University of Oxford application since 2021, and have conducted over 100 mock Oxbridge interviews!

I teach students aged 14-18 (up to sixth form) on the school curriculum, including GCSE and A level prep (both Maths and Further Maths, all exam boards) and also on Maths olympiad and Maths challenges prep for at Junior, Intermediate, or early Senior level (pre-BMO). I can also help you prepare for University applications; in particular for sitting the TMUA, MAT or STEP papers, with Oxbridge interview preparation, and personal statement help and general advice on the courses and applications.

Perfect! Matilde helped and explained the concepts very clearly, her methods are very easy to understand. She also gave some tricks to solve which were pretty useful. Her teaching has helped me a lot.

Matilde is a really great instructor. She explained topics that I hadn't learned in school extremely well -- so well I was able to then tutor my friends in school with the information I learned. She is super patient and understanding, especially when the topics are more complex. She was also always prepared for every meeting. By the time we met, she would have looked through the homework I submitted and had a plan ready for the next meeting. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor because she is very good at explaining difficult concepts and very friendly!
Matilde has been an amazing tutor, giving me support and tips to deal with tough maths problems. The sessions are well-planned and efficient as Matilde is always willing to give further explanations when needed.
