About Richard
I'm an Oxford Maths & Philosophy Graduate and winner of the 2020 Gibb's Prize for performance in Mathematics. I am a full-time tutor specializing in Oxbridge Mathematics Admissions, having started as a Student Mentor at the Oxford Mathematical Institute. I enjoy seeing my students develop their curiosity for the subject, and trying creative approaches to solve unfamiliar problems.
Through my admissions courses, I have helped 8 students receive offers from Oxford and Cambridge in the past two admissions cycles.

My admissions courses for Maths and joint degrees cover exam and interview preparation, the personal statement and further mathematical exploration. My resources for these comprise a private textbook for the MAT/TMUA with over 500 exercises and worked examples to enhance your independent study.
In classes, I teach how to creatively extend problems so you can get the most out of each question you do. Each lesson we cover difficult homework exercises and past paper questions. In this way, my lessons are very similar to Maths tutorials that Oxbridge undergraduates have. As we work through questions, I'll help you discover general concepts and exam-specific techniques to raise your edge over the applicant pool.
