About Samuel
I am currently a second-year maths student at the University of Oxford achieving a Distinction in 1st Year Exams. Last year, I tutored a student for 3 months, helping with Higher Maths. I am also currently volunteering to mentor disadvantaged students applying to study maths at Oxford.

I think it is important to make sure students firmly grasp the fundamentals. Then continue to work through several examples of increasing difficulty to gradually build up ability. Each student is different, so I will allow them to dictate the pace. At the end of the day, practice makes perfect so I’ll make sure to set students some questions and give feedback regularly.

Perfect! Samuel was very good at explaining the concepts I was struggling with. He had prepared background slides and worked through problems with me that I provided, guiding me to the answers and clarifying steps where I was unsure. He provided PDFs post-lesson straight away and was friendly and helpful.
