About Tymoteusz
Hi! My name is Tym, I am a second-year Politics, Philosophy and Economics student at the University of Oxford.
I provide lessons for GCSE and A-Level students. I tutor English, Economics, History and Business for A-level and the same subjects and more for GCSE!
My first tutoring experiences came from my state-school in Sheffield. When I was in Y13 where I was able to have a part-time summer opportunity to help the year below me, ever since then I have loved helping others and I have now tutored over 20 students across 3 years.

I provide 1 hour interactive lessons for GCSE and A-Level students. Over the past three years I have built a lesson structure which maximises understanding and retention for different topics.
I collaborate with my students on deciding the topics which most urgently need covering so that the results occur in existing knowledge gaps.
The first part of my lessons involve a short review of what was covered previously.
The main section of the lesson involves explaining new subjects and asking the student to consider what they learnt through quick questions or by explaining how it relates to the wider topic. The specifics vary based on the topic covered of course!
I am always open for questions and engagement in my lessons.
Finally, I ask the student to recall what we discussed which tests for memory and understanding. When wrapping up I also ask for feedback for me as a tutor and this is also the spot where we decide on any potential homework to consider to consolidate the topic covered.
