Mature, but not ancient; experienced, but not exhausted: I spent most of my career working in UK state schools. In 2018 moved to Switzerland and an inquiry based curriculum. Here I was able to use my creativity to bring lessons to life in ways that the National Curriculum never allowed back home...
During my second B.A. I used my teaching skills to help peers with essay planning and writing and in the final year, worked closely with two foreign students on their dissertations.
I enjoy the usual English teacher things (reading/listening to audio book, going to the theatre etc) but I also 'run' a not for profit artists' retreat in France. I am a coffee drinking, dog loving woman who enjoys a respectful debate. I make analogue photographs and encourage everyone I come into contact with to be kind. I am active on social media but do not chase followers and some people think I am interesting...

My lessons and sessions are tailored to individual students' needs, strengths and learning styles. Do not come expecting an 'off the shelf' approach - I believe in a highly personalised approach.
The ideal lesson length will be 30 - 45 minutes dependent on the student and the focus of the learning/content.
I do not guarantee specific results, but I do guarantee I will work for you and with you, developing your confidence, increasing your skill and building your relevant knowledge. Stick with me and by the time you sit those exams, submit that big essay or attend that interview, know that you will be super prepared and will have done your best.
